What is a thermal break (thermally broken aluminum)?
Our thermally broken aluminum windows and doors are engineered to withstand drastic temperature shifts and freezing climates. A thermal break is a continuous, insulated barrier built with a reinforced polyamide bar between the interior and exterior aluminum frames. This advanced technology drastically minimizes heat and cold transfer, stabilizes indoor temperatures, and reduces outside noise.
What are Low-E windows?
Low-E stands for "Low-Emissivity." This refers to a high-performance, energy-efficient glass coating that reflects infrared and ultraviolet light. It prevents exterior heat or cold from passing into your home while still allowing beautiful, natural light to fill the room.
What are the benefits of energy-efficient windows and doors?
Investing in high-performance windows and doors provides reduced heating and cooling costs, enhanced year-round indoor comfort, excellent soundproofing, UV protection for your furniture, a lower carbon footprint, increased property value, and eligibility for potential eco-friendly tax credits.
What designs and colors do you offer for doors?
We can bring virtually any vision to life. We offer custom designs and styles, including a palette of 216 architectural colors according to the universal RAL color chart.
What materials are used in your doors?
We primarily specialize in a premium combination of thermally broken aluminum and glass. However, upon request, we can accommodate custom builds utilizing clear glass, fiberglass, steel, wood, and vinyl.
What colors are best suited for modern doors?
Timeless neutral tones like stark white, deep charcoal gray, and matte black are excellent choices for modern architecture. To make a bold statement, vibrant accent colors can also be used to create an elegant contrast with your building's facade.
What’s the difference between a painted black and a dark bronze anodized finish?
A painted finish utilizes premium pigments applied over the frame, which delivers a rich color but can be susceptible to surface scratching over time. Anodizing is an electrochemical process that integrates the finish directly into the aluminum itself. This creates an incredibly durable, uniform, and fade-resistant surface that will not chip or peel.
What security features do your doors provide?
Our entry systems are engineered for maximum peace of mind. They can be equipped with advanced electronic and mechanical locking systems, supporting smartphone integration, key cards, or biometric fingerprint scanners. We partner with top-tier global hardware brands like Senec (USA), Cale (Turkey), and CES (Germany). Additional security upgrades include hidden hinges, multi-point locking systems, automatic door closers, and heavy-duty automatic opening systems.
Can I add glass elements or unique details to my doors?
Absolutely. We offer customizable glass inserts — including frosted, tinted, and ultra-clear glass — to balance natural light and privacy. You can also customize your door handles, choosing from integrated backlighting, sleek hidden flush pulls, or massive, full-height architectural handles.
Can I customize my own window grid patterns?
Yes. Beyond our standard geometric selections, we can fully customize grid layouts and architectural patterns to match your home's unique design language.
Do you make doors for commercial properties?
Yes. We distribute commercial-grade aluminum and glass entry systems in any custom size, configuration, and finish. For a commercial project quote, please contact us at contact@greenmainland.com.
How do I know when it's time to replace my old windows and doors?
Key warning signs include soaring energy bills, physical drafts, visible frame damage or rotting, condensation trapped between the glass panes, sticky or difficult operation, excessive street noise, or dated curb appeal.
